Golf Croquet Open Handicap Doubles Mini Tournament

The Golf Croquet Open Handicap Doubles Competition is open to all players.

This season we will play games using Advantage Play, as trialed in the Club Captain’s Winter Challenge.

Following on the success of last year’s event, this season we are again playing the Preliminary Rounds as a Mini Tournament over a weekend Sat-Sun 25th-26th November 2023, with a barbecue lunch on the Saturday. Matches are not restricted to this weekend - you can arrange matches before then.

The object is to complete the preliminary rounds (section play) by the end of the weekend so that we can move on to the knockout stage of the competition over the rest of the season.

The format for the tournament will be determined when we know the number of entries and will be fitted around Have-a-Go Bookings. Players will not need to be available all weekend.

to 30 Oct

Golf Croquet Gold & Silver Stars Mini Tournament

The Golf Croquet Don Reyland Gold and Silver Stars Competition is a CNZ handicap event which starts with Club play-offs and culminates in a National Final.

All matches consist of one 13 point game with a one hour time-limit.

The event attracts lots of entries, so this season we are again playing the Preliminary Rounds as a Mini Tournament the last weekend in October. Matches are not restricted to that weekend - you can arrange matches before the Weekend and more matches will need to be played after that weekend.

The idea is to get as many matches as we can played early in the season, so that we will have found the player to represent WMCC in plenty of time for the Wellington Regional Play-offs on 10th-11th February 2024.

The Wellington Region winner will go on to the National Finals on 16th-17th March 2024.

The format for the tournament is a round robin, where each player plays every other player. Players will not need to be available all weekend.
