who we are
We have around 80 active members who play both Golf and Association Croquet.
We're a successful and inclusive club in a wonderful location. Our three, full-size playing lawns and Clubhouse are nestled among trees on Wellington’s green belt, just off Alexandra Road. Feel free to come and play, or simply watch and enjoy the surroundings. New members and visitors are welcome.
Each season we hold a range of competitions open to all financial members, and enter teams in the Wellington Croquet Association interclub competitions
We also host local, national and international competitions throughout the season and support local secondary school students in playing croquet.
We continue to be one of the most successful clubs in the country, with several NZ representative players and talented new recruits.
Currently, more than 10% of our players are nationally ranked and we are proud of the inclusive way they readily share their skills with other club members. It’s what makes our club special and helps new players feel even more welcome
What we Provide
Free lessons for beginners in September - October each year
Mallets for members and beginners
All balls, hoops and other playing equipment
The opportunity to play socially or competitively to the highest levels
Dress code
Casual (a range of comfortable club clothing is available for purchase here)
Only flat-soled shoes are allowed on the lawns
