Membership

We have about 80 club members ranging in age from teenagers to the over 80s. Our club members are very active at the club, participating in club draws and competitions and arranging friendly games. Many also play interclub, and/or play in local and national tournaments. About 10% of our membership have also played internationally for New Zealand.

New members and Visitors from other clubs are always welcome.

Full Members

Most of our members are full members. That means that WMCC is their Home Club and it is through us that they pay their levies to Croquet New Zealand and the Wellington Croquet Association. Full members can play at the club anytime that the lawns are available, can vote at general meetings and can be elected to the committee.

Associate Members

We also have a number of associate members - members who also belong to another club which they have chosen as their Home Club. They can also play at the club anytime that the lawns are available but not if it would prevent a full member from playing. Associate members cannot vote at general meetings but can attend and speak. They cannot be an officer of this club if they are an officeholder at another club.
